✓ Review your dental and medical history

✓ Take digital X-rays and perform a complete oral exam

✓ Customize a treatment plan based on your goals and needs

✓ Go over costs, insurance, and flexible payment options

After Your Consultation

Once you decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your first treatment appointment. This is when your doctor will place your appliance—such as braces or aligners—and walk you through everything you need to know. This visit usually takes about an hour.

You'll visit us every 4–8 weeks for progress checks. We do our best to accommodate your schedule, and we understand that life gets busy—just let us know if you need to adjust your appointment time. We’re here to help make your treatment easy and convenient.

Treatment by Age

Early Treatment (Ages 7-10)

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children see an orthodontist by age seven. At this early stage, we can identify and address issues like crowding, bite problems, or jaw growth concerns—often reducing the need for more invasive treatment later.

Common signs your child may benefit from early care include:

Early or late loss of baby teeth

Sleep disordered breathing

Difficulty chewing or biting

Thumb sucking past age 5

Crowded or protruding front teeth

Early treatment may involve a two-phase approach:

A dentist performing a procedure on a young girl who is lying on a dental chair. An assistant watches from the side. All are wearing face masks. The setting is a dental clinic with large windows showing parked cars outside.

Phase 1 focuses on guiding jaw development, creating space for permanent teeth, and correcting misalignments.

Phase 2, after all adult teeth have come in, we align the bite and teeth with braces or aligners—followed by retainers to maintain the results.

Teen Treatment (Ages 11-17)

Braces aren't what they used to be—and that’s a good thing. Today’s treatment options are sleeker, more stylish, and designed to fit your lifestyle.

Teens may benefit from orthodontic treatment if they have:

Crowded, crooked, or overlapping teeth

Gaps between teeth

Jaw discrepancies (overbite, crossbite, open bite)

Difficulty chewing or speaking clearly

Treatment length varies, but most teens wear braces for 12–24 months. How long depends on what needs correcting, if you had early treatment, and how well you follow your care plan.

Adult Treatment (Ages 18+)

More adults than ever are choosing orthodontic treatment. Whether you're looking to improve your oral health, prepare for cosmetic work, or simply feel more confident, it's never too late for a straighter, healthier smile.

Common reasons adults pursue orthodontics:

Crowded, spaced, or shifting teeth

Complex bite correction requiring comprehensive treatment planning

Bite issues causing wear or chipping

Prepping teeth for restorative dental work

Orthodontic relapse after earlier treatment

Adult treatment considers factors like bone density, gum health, and previous dental work, which is why it’s carefully tailored to your needs. With discreet options and thoughtful planning, you can improve your smile without disrupting your lifestyle.
